Who is The Garden Wanderer, anyway ?
I am a dreamer, a lover of travel and beautiful gardens of every kind. I have wandered through gardens, public and private, all over the United States, Canada, and parts of Europe so far, marveling at the natural beauty, the artistry of gardeners, and the resilience of Mother Nature. Traveling is something that I’ve dearly missed over the course of this pandemic year, but I am currently making plans to safely return to Europe, particularly Malta in the Mediterranean, to wander through as many gardens as possible at the end of 2021 or the beginning of 2022. Who knows, maybe I’ll go on to Central and South America – Panama, Costa Rica, or Ecuador!
This blog is a continuation of another, called A Walk in the Garden on Blogger, that I simply outgrew. I think WordPress will give me more flexibility and scope to share my travels with you.
It started as an attempt to master blogging skills and eventually became a simple and logical way to reassure our loved ones that my husband and I were indeed alive and still exploring during our travels across the U.S. Southwest and our 3 month trip to Europe. The blog was open to friends and family so they could share in our adventures abroad. But, now I’m ready to share publicly with garden lovers everywhere.
Some subjects . .
My subjects will range from my experiences while Traveling – places visited, historical tidbits, photos, tips for making travel more comfortable, funny things that happen along the way – and, of course, Gardens – public gardens, private gardens, sanctuaries, forests, farms, and other fascinating natural places.
I look forward to sharing all of this with you, whoever reads it. Subscribe and follow our adventures!
